Model: Flyknit Trainer OG
Key Features: The Nike Flyknit Trainer was first released in 2012 and now, eight years later, it’s making a comeback in its OG form featuring a fully Flyknit upper with Flywire detailing.
Release Date: May 10
Editor’s Notes: Flyknit was one of the biggest advancements in sneaker technology when it was unveiled by Nike ahead of the 2012 Olympics and one of the first sneakers to don the new technology — the Flyknit Trainer — reached iconic levels among sneakerheads. The original black and white colorway (nicknamed Oreo) was highly popular for years before the runner trend died down.
Now, Nike is bringing back the OG Flyknit Trainer, per an announcement in a since-deleted entry on its SNKRS calendar. Before the reveal was pulled, we were able to grab a release date (May 10), though no pricing information exists at this point.
