Nike will soon begin releasing designs from its Fall and Holiday 2020 ISPA collection. Organized under the philosophy of Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, and Adapt, the assortment consists of some of the brand’s wildest sneakers to date.
With Nike ISPA, the sportswear juggernaut introduces groundbreaking products designed to solve everyday problems. For Fall and Holiday 2020, these adaptive footwear silhouettes include the Zoom Road Warrior, Overreact FK, Overreact FK Sandal, Flow 2020, and Drifter, pictured in order in the gallery above.
The Zoom Road Warrior incorporates an open floating heel reminiscent of early Nike Shox prototypes. The knit patch upper borrows from tough training shoes and various outdoor designs, while other elements, including the energy return, reference the Alphafly Next% and the Air Zoom BB NXT. The Zoom Road Warrior releases globally July 10.
Next up, the Overreact FK is known for its namesake cushioning platform, consisting of a proprietary foam offering soft cushioning, energy return, and durability. The upper of the sneaker includes a mix of excess yarn, with knit patterns that draw from past footwear programs. The Overreact FK releases globally July 9.
Similar to the Overreact FK, the Sandal version features a stripped-down build geared for warmer weather. Visible and hidden layers on the upper give the shoe structure and improved protection while simultaneously enhancing breathability. The Overreact FK Sandal releases globally July 31.
The Flow 2020 is inspired by extreme sports athletes who are prone to customizing their own equipment. The standout element of the silhouette is a perforated outsole which allows for internal airflow. An open weave mono mesh upper then aids in breathability. The Flow 2020 releases globally August 13.
Rounding out the new ISPA collection is the Drifter, a hybrid of Japanese traditional work boots. The sneaker draws from the split-toe Tabi, with a split-toe upper placed above a lightweight foam that includes regrind Nike ZoomX foam. External webbing provides the wearer with a lockdown fit, while a unique fastening system lets you tighten the shoe in multiple areas. The Drifter releases globally September 1.
