The proverbial pair of shoes has passed away today, surrounded by its loving family and all who will celebrate its centuries on this Earth. It is survived by this Off-White™ duo of sorts, which for some reason consists of a derby and a sneaker.

While we never thought we’d be writing an obituary for the concept of a “pair” of shoes, the deconstructive mission of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ apparently takes no prisoners. The brand has just released a $605 duo of shoes that consists of a black leather derby and a white tennis sneaker, united only by an icy blue sole and Off-White™ branding on the tongue.

With this week also marking Abloh and Lucien Clarke’s tearing down of the walls between luxury and skate, we’re excited to see what mutant footwear experiments are in store for us in what has already been a bizarre year.

If you’re into the Frankenstein footwear creation by Virgil and Off-White™, you can pick up your size via the link below.
