This year has been all about the Dunk. Nike looks to continue the trend on into the latter part of 2020 by releasing a new “Lemon Wash” colorway of the ever-popular sneaker.

The resurgence of Nike SB Dunks, in particular, has been undeniable in recent months. Celebrities like Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner, for example, have been spotted on numerous occasions rocking OG colorways of the silhouette, while Travis himself worked with Nike on a highly-coveted collab. And let’s not forget Virgil Abloh, whose Off-White™ Dunks are consistently among the most popular sneaker releases.

Now, we find the Swoosh placing a focus on sustainability with this upcoming launch of the sneaker. While the “Lemon Wash” iteration doesn’t fall under the brand’s SB line, that shouldn’t steer you away from such an aesthetically-pleasing colorway. Made from a recycled canvas, these Dunks are decorated with various prints and patterns such as polka dots, flowers, stars, and tie-dye.

Nike’s “Move to Zero” initiative finds the brand implementing a more sustainable approach to manufacturing. The new Space Hippie sneakers are a prime example of how the company is aiming to utilize recycled materials moving forward in efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and help preserve the planet.

A release date for Nike’s “Lemon Wash” Dunks has yet to be announced, but reports suggest a launch will take place this fall. As always, be sure to check back with us for confirmation.
