The colorway, which features an elephant/grey cement print on the toe, heel, and ankle collar with a white and black base and a teal Swoosh, has been taken directly from atmos’ iconic Air Max 1 collaboration. The Air Max 1 was most recently retroed as part of Air Max Day 2017.
This isn’t the first time that an atmos colorway has been reused on another Nike silhouette. Most recently, the Nike SB Dunk Low was emblazoned with atmos’ “Safari” colorway, which had also been used on a number of other silhouettes over the years.
That SB Dunk Low was not an official collaboration with atmos, but rather Nike SB reusing the iconic colorway. It’s assumed that this will be the case for the “Elephant” colorway, too.
As always, stay tuned for updates ahead of the rumored November release date.
