Brand: New Balance
Key Features: Originally released in 2006 to celebrate 100 years of New Balance and to follow up the 991, the 992 is the brand’s most popular silhouette of the moment, thanks to special collaborations and great general release colorways such as this one above.
Release Date: Friday, November 20
Price: 31,900 yen ($300)
Buy: New Balance Japan
Editor’s Notes: This latest New Balance 992 features a navy mesh base with deep navy and grey overlays. It is currently only available via New Balance’s Japanese web-store (for approximately $300) and can be pre-ordered ahead of the shoe’s November 20 release. Whether a wider global release will follow is currently unknown, though it’s highly likely.
The New Balance 992 has been the subject of high-profile collaborations since its relaunch earlier this year. The likes of JJJJound, Kith, Packer, and Joe FreshGoods have reworked the silhouette that was once Steve Jobs’ go-to sneaker.
