Highsnobiety aims to provide our readers with the latest updates in the sneaker world. However, we cannot verify the reliability of any unauthorized leaks or rumors unless this information is provided directly by the brands themselves.
Yoon Ahn broke all of our collective hearts this week when she unveiled an AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Chicago” colorway, only to reveal in the caption that the sneaker would not be for sale to the wider public. Now reports suggest that a “Royal Blue” colorway (mocked up above) could be released at some point this year, though concrete release information is scarce at the moment.
With Yoon’s black and white iteration selling out instantly and the all-pink version of the co-branded Dunk High arriving soon, it would make sense for Nike and the AMBUSH founder to continue their fruitful partnership with further iterations. We’ve seen Nike do the same with new colorways of Jerry Lorenzo’s Nike collabs in the past, and everyone knows how much Nike squeezed the Virgil Abloh collab for all it is worth.
There is, however, also the possibility that the “Blue Royal” pair remains an unreleased sample. For now, though, let’s hope that the rumors materialize and we’re blessed with more AMBUSH x Nike goodness. Stay tuned for updates.
