If you had trouble procuring the sacai x Nike LDWaffles for retail, you were previously faced with a predicament: shell out way too much money on the resell market or miss out entirely? Now though, those that remained strong (and patient) have been rewarded, as Nike is gearing up to release two new colorways of the Waffle One, an update to the iconic Waffle Racer from 1977.

The model looks like a budget version of sacai’s double-everything LDWaffle, dropping in all-white and mostly-black colorways. The Waffle One features a mesh upper with suede overlays and a leather Swoosh on the side. A plastic heel counter protrudes from the heel, similar to the aforementioned sacai x Nike drops. The sneaker’s black upper is then contrasted by a white midsole below, while a single pop of color appears in the form of a small red strip on the outsole at the back of the shoe.

While official photos have leaked, Nike has yet to share concrete release details for the Waffle One. Be sure to check back with us for confirmation on how to purchase the budget-friendly sacai x Nike alternative.
