CLOT’s Legendary Air Max 1 Returns This Year

CLOT’s Legendary Air Max 1 Returns This Year 3

It’s official: CLOT and Nike are bringing back their highly-popular “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1 collaboration, which was originally released in 2006. Rumors had been circulating over the past few months, though it was Nike & Jordan Brand friend DJ Khaled who gave us our first official look at the 2021 version.

In an Instagram video, which you can check out below by swiping to the left, Khaled claims to be one of very few to have been gifted the 2021 CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” before its official release. The video confirms the sneaker’s release and gives us our best look at the differences between the 2021 and 2006 pairs.

This year’s pair has a red leather heel with orange embossed detailing, while the original pair’s heel featured orange suede with red embroidered details. The original also had a slightly different translucent outsole, which featured the outline of a human foot. This year’s version has an icy blue outsole with a graphic of a reflexology map of the sole’s pressure points hidden beneath it.

The box the re-release arrives in is also slightly different from the special box from 2006. Otherwise, the see-through toe box design stays largely the same.

No concrete release details exist just yet, though we’re likely to get more information soon, considering seeded pairs are starting to arrive.
