The adidas Forum Low has surprised many as one of 2021’s most sought-after old-school silhouettes. Following a standout collaboration with Bad Bunny, which became the most hyped non-YEEZY adidas sneaker on StockX ever, the brand recently released the ’80s model in new collegiate-inspired colorways.
One of the iterations to arrive is the on-hand “Crew Green” makeup, which expertly combines cream and white tones with green to create a vintage look we vibe with heavily.
Customizer @oldmanalan apparently does too, except he decided to remove the silhouette’s most distinguishing element, the strap. That simple change makes a good shoe even better and poses the question of why the Forum Low doesn’t lose the strap entirely?
“Chopped em,” @oldmanalan said in his Instagram post.
Purists might call foul play, but we’re feeling the strapless look of the Forum Low. If you’re into the customization like we are, you can pick up a pair of the “Crew Green” kicks through resale websites such as StockX, and get to cutting. The sneaker originally sold for $110 and can still be purchased for close to the same amount.
